NUS Discounts: National Union of Students [NUS] negotiates discounts on behalf of its members which may range up to 50% off books, stationery, food, clothes, travel and entertainment.
Free Healthcare: International students who are staying in the UK for six (6) months or more are qualified to avail of the free healthcare facilities, through the National Health Service.
Part-time Work: In the UK, by rule, every student can make money by taking up part-time work for 20 hours every week during study/term, and can take up full-time job assignments during vacation. This earning meets to some extent their Program fees and living costs.
Orientation Programs: In UK, with the start of the academic sessions, most of the educational institutions arrange for orientation programs for the new international students. Though the curriculum of these orientation programs is diverse, it broadly includes awareness of the campus and facilities, procedure to use them, the institutional rules and teaching methods used, and classes in English culture and history.
