The Master in Design Thinking is the first programme of its kind in Aotearoa / New Zealand and has been created to give you the skills and experience necessary to become a skilled Design Thinker. Working in small multidisciplinary teams you will tackle a range of real world problems and generate innovative and unexpected products, services and experiences for the customer.
Graduates of the Master of Design Thinking, Level 9 will have the skills and knowledge to work as Design Thinkers in a range of businesses and service contexts. These include Design Thinking consultancies, businesses (government, non-government, profit and not-for-profit) and their own Design Thinking consultancy. Graduates will also have the ability to work in team leadership roles in marketing, management, product and service development, and user experience.
Full time: Two years, four semesters of 16 weeks each
Part-time: Four years, must be completed within six years
You can exit the programme with a Postgraduate Diploma in Design Thinking, Level 8, and must complete this within four years.
